Research Skills: Proficient in statistics, analog and digital circuit design and construction, water quality analysis, husbandry of reef corals in a microcosm setting, coral microcosm design, field deployments of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), microcosm and recirculating flow tank construction and maintenance, coral identification, familiar with use and care of oxygen and pH microelectrodes in the lab and field, underwater photography and videography, coral disease identification, micro-pipetting, water quality assessment using autonomous sondes, coral larvae counting, bacterial plate counting, past experience in PCR and gel electrophoresis methods, and underwater surveys.

Scientific Instrument Operation Skills: Experience with Unisense dissolved oxygen and pH microelectrodes connected to a Unisense UWM-4 underwater amplifier/data logger, Walz Diving-PAM underwater Fluorometer, YSI EXO-2 Sonde and associated sensors, YSI Castaway-CTD, Sontek Argonaut-Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter, Hobo Temperature Loggers, Tilt Current Loggers, Underwater Cameras, and Hach Spectrophotometer.
